Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc. provides donated computers, technical support, as well as training to schools, non-profits and qualifying families. The donated computer systems are frequently installed in labs and classrooms, which are networked by TCW. Typically all required components, network server, hubs, UPS and cabling is provided. TCW not only installs and configures the equipment, but supports and maintains it as well. We also provide Internet access to families for home use.

TCW works with PC hardware and software. TCW volunteers gain practical experience in the fields of building computer systems, networking, troubleshooting, and software installation.

What is a "refurbished computer"?
TCW receives surplus computer equipment from corporations, businesses, governments, and private individuals. Volunteers take this equipment, clean it, repair it, upgrade it and install software on it before making it available to recipients.

TCW installs software some of which requires a license and some license free. Operating system software is licensed to qualifying organizations via the Microsoft MAR program. Schools and other recipients are responsible for licensing all software used.

Mission Statement:

Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc., is based on the understanding that the information age is upon us, the belief that the impact of this understanding means preparing children for a future that we can at best only speculate on, the knowledge that computers and telecommunications will play a fundamental role in this future, and the commitment that the children of this state must not be left behind in the expansion of our society and culture to embrace a future rooted in the information age.

Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc. is committed to the fact that we owe it to the future of the children of this state to provide them with the technology experiences that they need to be prepared to meet their future. If we do any less we will be cheating our children of the learning experiences that will prepare them for this future and robbing them of their full human potential.
