Public, private, parochial, charter and home schools in Wisconsin are all eligible for the services of TCW.. Public libraries, will also be considered for projects.
School requests will determine which activities Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc. (TCW) could be involved in. Examples could include coordinating hardware donations, advising on networking, mentoring students, teachers, or administrators in the uses of computing and communication technologies, or helping with the creation of a school's page on the World Wide Web.

TCW selects partner schools based on the following criteria: strong administrative interest and support, short and long-term curricular goals utilizing technology, a dedicated and interested corps of teachers, community partners, corporate partners, PTA & alumni groups, and a willingness to let the students--perhaps the most untapped resource--take part in creating & maintaining the technology.

TCW provides the following services to schools:

  • Refurbished computer systems.
  • Public awareness of technology projects for schools.
  • Assistance with integration of donated computer systems and software.
  • Assistance with technology curriculum integration.
  • Assistance with distribution and utilization of grant funds.
  • Coordination of computer infrastructure improvements, i.e. electrical and network wiring.
  • Formal teacher training programs and informal teacher mentoring.
  • Consultation and strategic planning assistance with technology implementation.
  • Technical support services via phone, web page, and email.

Effective Jan. 1, 2001, we have instituted a policy in which we will require a charitable contribution appropriate to the donation received.  This contribution will typically be indicated as a  refurbishing fee and be required from all schools.

If you are interested in requesting the services of TCW, please contact Executive Director Michael F. Pitsch for more information.

Schools are also required to complete the volunteer screening agreement. Please download, complete, and fax this form to Tech Corps Wisconsin.
