Non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status
in Wisconsin are eligible for the services of TCW.
Requests will determine which activities
Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc. could be involved in. Examples could include
coordinating hardware donations, advising on networking, mentoring staff,
in the uses of computing and communication
technologies, or helping with the creation of a web presence.
Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc. selects partner organizations based on the
following criteria: strong administrative interest and support, short and
long-term technology goals utilizing technology, a dedicated and
interested corps of staff, community partners, and corporate partners.
Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc. provides the following services to
organizations:
- Refurbished computer systems with installation and configuration

Network installation and upgrading
- Public awareness of technology projects for schools.
- Assistance with integration of donated computer systems and software.
- Assistance with business process integration.
- Assistance with distribution and utilization of grant funds.
- Coordination of computer infrastructure improvements with vendors, i.e. electrical
and network wiring.
- Formal staff training programs and informal staff mentoring.
- Consultation and strategic planning assistance with technology implementation.
- Technical support services via phone, web page, and email.
Effective Jan. 1, 2001, we have instituted a policy in which we
will require a charitable contribution appropriate to the donation received. This contribution will typically
be $100 to $200 per installed and configured computer (depending on
specifications) as a refurbishing fee.
