Tech Corps Wisconsin,
Inc. is pleased to announce the latest effort in its continued support
of children in the state and specifically within the Southeast Wisconsin
area with the announcement of a project for St. Peter's Lutheran School
and Rainbow Preschool.
"We are helping the school with this project by wiring six
network drops into classrooms and office areas, installing a patch
panel and donated network hub, and by terminating the wiring. We will
also connect and configure previously donated TCW-supplied computers
to the newly installed building network" said Michael Pitsch: State
Coordinator for Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc. July 7, is the target date
for the wiring project at the school located at 145 S. Sixth Street
in Waterford.
"The network will
help expand the usability of the computers for our students," said
school Principal Dale Ritter.
This project is a
continued experiment in re-defining how education is delivered to
our children, wherever they are, to better prepare them to meet the
challenges of their futures. The collaborative nature of the project
includes a number of public and private businesses throughout SE Wisconsin
who provided the donations and the volunteers who are completing the
work.
"We are pleased to have been asked to participate in this venture
to help make a difference in the futures of our children," said Pitsch.
