Tech Corps Wisconsin,
Inc. is pleased to announce the latest effort in its continued support
of children in the state and specifically within the Southeast Wisconsin
area with the announcement of a project for Burlington's St. Charles
Elementary School.
"We are helping the school with this project by supplying network
equipment to be placed into a computer lab and the classrooms. We
will also help with the network in the computer lab and classrooms
by supplying volunteer labor to do the installation work" said Michael
Pitsch, the State Coordinator for Tech Corps Wisconsin, Inc. March
17, is the target date for the installation at the small Catholic
elementary school.
The computers will
be used for word processing, Internet research and for other curricular
purposes. The classroom computers and the computer lab will be connected
to the Internet at a later date.
This project is a
continued experiment in re-defining how education is delivered to
our children, wherever they are, to better prepare them to meet the
challenges of their futures. The collaborative nature of the project
includes a number of public and private businesses throughout SE Wisconsin
who provided the donations and the volunteers who are completing the
work.
"We are pleased to have been asked to participate in this venture
to help make a difference in the futures of our children," said Pitsch.
